burial grounds, chapels, crematoriums
Health and safety audits are carried out, followed
by a written report.
Health and safety policies are prepared, COSHH risk
assessments prepared.
We carry out risk assessments in a sensitive and
respectful manner.
We recommend that suspect stones be supported and
not laid down, this avoids offending and upsetting the relatives.
Key Benefits
- Benefit 1 - We recommend that suspect memorials are identified
with a safety label with a report giving details and a photograph
for easy identification.
- Benefit 2 - We do not recommend topple testing but carry out a
hand test to identify unsafe memorials.
- Benefit 3 - Compliance with all 15 regulations that apply to
Burial Grounds.
NOTE
We are at present carrying out an audit
for Eastbourne Borough Council at their Oklynge Cemetery and the
Crematorium at Langney - the work is being carried out under contract
to the council's specifications - this is not the method adopted by
our company.
